Intermediate spot valuation begins amid tight security

ONGOLE: The spot valuation of Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) answer scripts in five subjects began on Wednesday amid tight security.

A record number 450 assistant examiners reported at the AKVK Junior College here to evaluate the answer scripts of students in English, Hindi, Telugu, Mathematics, and Civics, according to Board Regional Inspection Officer and District Examinations Committee convenor S. Aruna Kumari.

She told The Hindu that a second scrutinizer was appointed for the first time this year to double check the answer scripts and ensure cent per cent error-free evaluation of answer scripts.

“We have made all civic amenities, including supply of mineral water bottles, to the examiners to ensure a healthy atmosphere,” she said.

Meanwhile, 83 per cent of the 470 second year intermediate students appeared for the geology paper-II and vocational courses in 11 centres, District Examinations Committee member and Addanki Government Junior College Principal M. Nageswara Rao said.
