Kerala TET 2017 Registrations Open

The Kerala government has released an employment notification inviting candidates to apply for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET 2017). The exam is scheduled to be held on 12th August 2017 and 19th August 2017 and the admit cards for the same will be available from 1st August 2017. The conduct of the examination is entrusted with Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala.

Selection categories

The KTET 2017 selection will comprise four categories:

i) The first three categories will be for teacher posts of lower primary, upper primary and high school classes

ii) The last category will be for language teachers in Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to upper primary level), specialist teachers and physical education teachers (up to high school level).

About KTET

KTET is conducted to assess the quality of teacher candidates for lower primary, upper primary and high school classes in Kerala.

Pass percentage

A person who scores 60 per cent or more in the K-TET examination will be considered as qualified.  There shall be no negative marking in the test.

Cash prize for top rankers

1) First rank holder with above 80 per cent: Rs 20,000

2) Second rank holder with above 80 per cent: Rs 15,000

3) Third rank holder with above 80 per cent: Rs 10,000

The list of winning candidates will be announced at the time of result declaration and each award will be disbursed accordingly.
