Medical PG counselling begins today

VIJAYAWADA: The counselling for giving admission into about 2,000 seats in post-graduate and diploma courses of Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences will commence at 9 a.m. on Thursday. The counselling would continue till May 3.

The University Registrar T. Venugopala Rao, in a release here on Wednesday, said that the university had got a clarification from the High Court that it should fill the 85 per cent local seats first and then fill the remaining 15 per cent of unreserved seats ‘as per merit and law'.

Counselling for local seats will be held from April 28 to May 1, and for the unreserved seats it would be done from May 2 to 3.

Two separate rosters will be prepared for each region for local and unreserved categories. He said that 100-point roster and reverse roster would be operated for each 100 points.

Students have to come prepared to stay in Vijayawada for two to three days for the counselling.
