The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on July 6 issued a notification stating that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 counselling schedule is yet to be announced.
“The counselling schedule for NEET UG and PG is announced by MCC on its website based on completion of the exam process and finalization of the seat matrix by the National Medical Commission (NMC). In the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, the counselling for UG seats commenced on 19/1/2022, 11/10/2022 and 20/7/2023 respectively.
For the year 2024, NMC has communicated its schedule for finalization of the seat matrix for UG and PG seats in the last week of June indicating that it will finalize the UG seat matrix by the third week of July and the PG seat matrix by mid-August. MCC will accordingly notify the counselling schedule,” the official notice stated.
Meanwhile, a Supreme Court bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra will hear various NEET UG 2024 pleas on July 8. Petitioners have alleged paper leak, some have demanded cancellation of the full exam and conduction of the medical entrance exam, some have asked for an investigation into the National Testing Agency (NTA) operations, and more.
