SSC Supplementary Exams likely before June 2

The conduct of SSC supplementary exams in June has led to a major confusion among authorities and students alike. Even as a formal decision is expected in this regard it is learnt that the Directorate of Government Examinations in its present form is planning to complete this customary process before June 2th - the Appointed Day for state bifurcation.

Normally, the supplementary exams are held in the second week of June after schools reopen ever year. About 2 lakh students take supplementary exams, while around 13 lakh candidates appear for SSC exams held every year in March.

Confirming this senior official in the school education department said, "Most probably we expect a formal decision by the end of April. Since the work for conducting these exams begin in last week of April, it is difficult for the new governments and their new bodies, if this present body were to be divided, to conduct the exams without any hurdles."
