Telangana State Secondary School Certificate (TS SSC) or Class 10 results will be released today, May 21. Sabitha Indra Reddy, the state education minister, will announce the results. Soon after the official announcement, students will be able to check their scores on the board's official website, bse.telangana.gov.in. Previously, the state government cancelled SSC exams and stated that students would be graded based on internal assessments.
According to the government, it has been decided to “award grades duly considering their performance in the internal assessment marks for 20% (due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, one formative assessment was conducted instead of two formative assessments) and scale up to 20% of internal marks to 100% marks.” This year, over 5 lakh students registered for Telangana SSC exams. At 11:30 a.m., the results will be available on the official website, and students will need to login with their roll numbers to download their scorecards. Other private websites like vidyavision.com may also publish the results in addition to the BSE Telangana official website.
This is the second year in a row that the board will announce SSC results based on internal assessments. Due to the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March, the board was only able to conduct exams for three papers in 2020 and had to cancel the remaining papers. Last year, 5,34,903 Class 10 students in Telangana were promoted to Class 11. In light of COVID-19, the state government has already promoted 53,79,388 students from Classes 1 to 9 to the next classes without examination.
