DTU is honestly a great place if you want the full college experience without the insane academic pressure of an IIT. The campus is massive and green, and the placements are elite—tech giants really do hire in bulk here. The student societies and Engifest are legendary, effectively making up for the often boring lectures. The biggest downsides are the location (it is practically on the edge of Delhi) and the annoying 75% attendance rule, but for the ROI and campus life, it is totally worth the hassle.

Campus Facilities: DTU is honestly massive, bro—literally 164 acres in Rohini that feels like its own green mini-city. The academic scene is solid with heavy-duty labs and a huge central library that’s perfect for studying (or napping because the AC is too good), but the real flex is the infrastructure outside the classroom. We’ve got a killer sports complex with huge grounds, the legendary Open Air Theatre (OAT) for fests, and chill spots like Mic Mac, so while the tech facilities are great for building rovers and solar cars, the campus vibe is easily one of the best in Delhi.
Campus Life: Campus life is straight-up a movie, bro. You start the day sprinting for attendance, but by noon, the squad is already bunking to hit Mic Mac for Maggi and chai. The real magic happens at night—vibing at the OAT, endless hostel roasting sessions, and surviving purely on vibes and caffeine. It’s chaotic, sleep-deprived, but honestly, 10/10 scenes.
Faculty: The faculty is a total mixed bag, bro. You’ve got the absolute legends who are super chill and helpful, and then the strict ones who treat the 75% attendance rule like it's life or death. While most of them definitely know their stuff, let's be real—you’re practically going to be surviving on YouTube playlists and notes from seniors the night before the exam anyway.
Placements: ?? Internships & Placements (Real Talk) Placements are the biggest flex here—highest package hit ?85.3 LPA (Atlassian) recently, and if you’re in tech branches like CSE or IT, the average is a solid ?24 LPA, which is basically printing money. For internships, companies like Microsoft, Sprinklr, and Uber visit in the third year offering crazy stipends (some even ?1.5 Lakh/month), but you gotta have your DSA game strong to crack them. Recession has made things a bit slower for core branches (Civil/Mech), but mass recruiters and decent core companies still show up, so most people end up sorted with something decent. Bottom line: If you grind coding or maintain a decent CGPA, you’re walking out with a fat offer letter; otherwise, it’s a bit of a struggle but you'll survive.
Salary Package: Greater than 24 Lakhs
Start Up Incubator: The Incubator (DTU-IIF) It’s called DTU-IIF, and it’s basically a launchpad for your startup ideas. If you have a solid concept, they provide seed funding (actual cash to build your product), free workspace (AC offices + high-speed WiFi), and mentorship from alumni who’ve already made it big. It’s not just for graduates—active student teams (like the ones building drones or rovers) often turn their projects into real companies here. They’ve already backed 60+ startups, so if you want to be your own boss, this is the place to be.
