Doesn't Recommend this college
Hello readers,I am Shourjya, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering as a student of the 2023 batch. Based on my experience so far, I would describe this college as below average overall.First of all, it is a Tier-3 private institution, and the academic environment is not very inspiring. After taking admission, students may find that there are limited opportunities to develop technical and professional skills through the college itself. As a result, much of your personal and career growth depends on self-learning through platforms such as YouTube, online courses, and other external resources. The campus atmosphere feels more like that of a school than a college, which can be disappointing for students expecting a vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment. Occasionally, senior students organize seminars and workshops, but their usefulness varies and may not always provide significant value.Another drawback is the location of the college. It is situated in Adisaptagram, on the outskirts of the town, where the overall social atmosphere is not particularly engaging. Students looking for an active college life, diverse extracurricular opportunities, or a dynamic social environment may find their expectations unmet. Therefore, I would advise students not to expect too much from this institution. In my opinion, it is better to focus on academics from the beginning and work hard to secure admission to a better college if possible. Otherwise, you may end up feeling disappointed with the overall experience.

Campus Facilities: The college provides all the basic facilities required for students. The campus has four academic blocks with spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories for practical learning, and a library with useful academic resources. There is a canteen that offers affordable food with average quality, along with a gym, two auditoriums for events and seminars, and two ATM facilities for banking convenience. The campus is clean and attractive, with a beautiful pond at its center. For accommodation, students can find private hostels, PGs, and rented rooms near the college at reasonable prices. Nearby shops, restaurants, pharmacies, and transportation services are also available, making daily life convenient. Overall, the facilities are decent and sufficient for academic and personal needs, although they are not particularly modern or exceptional.
Campus Life: AOT has limited co-curricular and extracurricular activities, but students feel a strong sense of belonging on campus. Students can take part in different activities through the five college communities: Ardour, Analects, Agile, Acuity, and Acclivities. The college organizes its annual fest, Arcadia, once every year, and small seminars and events are also conducted from time to time.
Faculty: I found my experience with the faculty to be quite poor. Although most of the professors are highly qualified and come from reputed institutions, the overall quality of teaching is below average. A few teachers are dedicated, explain concepts clearly, and interact well with students, making their classes enjoyable and helpful. However, many faculty members seem more focused on completing the syllabus quickly rather than ensuring that students understand the topics properly. This lack of effective teaching and student engagement has made my overall faculty experience disappointing.
Placements: The placement opportunities at the college are average, with around 65–75% of eligible students getting placed every year. Most recruiters are service-based IT companies, while a few product-based and core companies also visit the campus. Some of the major recruiters include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, Amazon, Reliance Industries, Deloitte, Capgemini, Bajaj Capital, HSBC, Hexaware, Zensar Technologies, Virtusa, Berger Paints, Persistent Systems, Mindtree, Godrej, SAP, ITC Infotech, GlobalLogic, Johnson Controls, Qualcomm India, and Larsen & Toubro (L&T). The average salary package is usually between ?3 LPA and ?5 LPA, while higher packages are offered to a few deserving students by top recruiters. Internship opportunities are available, but many students also secure internships through off-campus applications. Overall, placements are decent, but students need to develop their skills independently to maximize their chances of getting good job offers.
