Recommends this college
Studying B.Tech CSE at GLA University has been a mix of good and challenging experiences. The campus is beautiful, well-equipped with labs, Wi-Fi, and a huge library. Fests and clubs make student life lively, and some faculty are really supportive. But teaching quality is inconsistent—few professors explain concepts deeply while others just rush through. Hostel and mess are average, manageable but not great. Placements depend a lot on your skills; top companies do visit, yet you can’t rely only on college training—you must work on coding and projects yourself. Overall, GLA gives you resources and exposure, but growth here depends mainly on your own efforts. My advice to aspirants: join if you are ready to be self-driven and make the most out of the opportunities provided.

Campus Facilities: GLA has a clean and green campus with smart classrooms, AC labs, and a big library with digital access. Hostels are safe with Wi-Fi, though rooms are a bit compact and mess food is average. On-campus you get bank & ATM, medical, gym, shops, and decent canteens. Off-campus PGs and flats are there, but most prefer staying inside for safety and convenience. Sports grounds and courts are well maintained, giving good options for outdoor games. Events and fests keep the campus lively throughout the year. Overall, the facilities are strong and you rarely feel a lack of resources.
Campus Life: Campus life at GLA is full of activities beyond classes. The best event for me is Spandan, which is the annual cultural fest. It’s the most awaited event because the whole campus lights up with music, dance, and celebrity nights. You get to see talents from every corner of the university, and it’s a big chance to interact with students from different branches. For me, it was both fun and exposure—I performed once and also volunteered, which gave me confidence and new friends. The vibe during Spandan is unmatched, and it really makes you feel proud to be part of the campus.
Faculty: Most of the faculty at GLA are well-qualified, many from IITs and NITs, and they know their subjects well. My favorite faculty is our Computer Networks professor, because he explains concepts with real-life examples and even arranges extra doubt sessions before exams. He’s approachable, never gets irritated with questions, and motivates us to focus on practical learning instead of just rote study. That kind of guidance really makes a difference.
Placements: Placements at GLA are quite good for CSE students, with around 80–85% getting placed. The average package is about ?4–5 LPA, while the highest has touched ?55 LPA from companies like Amazon and Microsoft. Regular recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, HCL and Cognizant, and a few product-based firms like Adobe and Optum also hire in smaller numbers. Internships are available, though many students arrange them on their own, with stipends ranging from ?10k–20k per month. Overall, opportunities are solid if you’re skilled in coding and projects, but personal effort matters most.
Salary Package: 4 - 6 Lakhs
Start Up Incubator: Yes, GLA has an active incubation centre called GLA Incubation Centre (GLAIC) under the Institution’s Innovation Council. It helps students with mentorship, idea validation, workshops, and connects them with industry experts. A few student-led startups in fields like ed-tech and IoT have been incubated here, and the centre also collaborates with MSMEs and government programs for funding support. It’s not as big as metro-city incubators, but it’s active and provides a good platform for students serious about entrepreneurship.
