OJEE 2018 Exam Pattern

OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Exam) is an offline exam organized by the Odisha Joint Entrance Board. OJEE 2018 is an entrance test for aspirants seeking admissions into various 1st year undergraduate degree, 1st year post graduate degree and later entry programs offered by the participating institutes.

OJEE 2018 comprises of 3 sessions. Each session consists of different tests bearing different subjects and patterns. Candidates must carefully check the sessions that have the subjects necessary for admission in to their particular course.

 

OJEE Exam Pattern 2018

The exam pattern details are given here:

Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted in offline mode.

Duration: The exam duration will be one hour, two hours & three hours as per the courses.

Type of Questions: The questions will be multiple choice type.

Total Question: There will be total 180 questions for B.Pharma/BHMS/BAMS, 120 questions for MBA/LE (B.Tech)/MCA/LE (MCA), 90 questions for M.Tech/M.Arch & 60 questions for LE (B.Pharma)/LE (B.Sc/+3 B.Sc)/Integrate MBA/M.Pharm course asked in the examination.

Subjects for B.Pharma: 45 questions will be asked each from Physics & Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology.

Subjects for MBA: Verbal reasoning (40 questions), Analytical reasoning (40 questions), General Knowledge (10 questions), Comprehension (20 questions), Comp and business fundamentals (10 questions).

Marking Scheme: Four marks will be given for each correct answer.

Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

OJEE Exam Pattern- OJEE Pharmacy / BAMS / BHMS

Applicants for Pharmacy/BAMS/BHMS have to attempt total 120 multiple choice questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The section-wise distribution of questions in each section is mentioned below.

OJEE Exam Pattern- OJEE Lateral Entry B.Tech (Diploma Holders)

Candidates applying for lateral entry B.Tech program have to solve 120 objective type questions in a span of 2 hours. The section and distribution of questions in each section is mentioned in the table below.

OJEE Exam Pattern- OJEE Lateral Entry (+3 SC / B.Sc)

The duration of L.E B.Sc. test is 1 hour in which candidates have to solve 60 multiple choice question from Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Check the table below for more details.

OJEE Exam Pattern- OJEE Lateral Entry (Pharmacy) and M.Pharmacy

It will be a 1 hour examination and 60 questions will be asked from the main branch alone.

OJEE Exam Pattern- OJEE MCA

The duration of OJEE MCA and L.E. MCA is 2 hours in which candidates have to attempt 120 multiple choice questions. Check the table below for more details on section-wise distribution of questions.

OJEE MBA paper consists of total 5 sections and a total of 120 objective type questions. The section-wise distribution of questions is tabulated below.

General Instructions:

  • Examination center gates will be opened half an hour before the scheduled start of the examination. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the hall once the examination starts.
  • Candidates must not leave the examination hall before the examination is over.
  • Valid Admit Card is necessary and entry inside the examination hall will be denied without the Admit Card.
  • Candidates must get the blue/black ball point pen to the hall for filling the circles in the OMR sheets. Pens will not be provided in the examination hall.
  • Candidates are allowed to take the carbon copy (2nd copy) of the OMR after submitting the primary OMR.
  • Mobile phones or any electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination hall.
  • The candidates are not allowed to bring any charts/tables/papers to the examination hall.
  • Upon receiving the question booklet and answer sheets, candidates must thoroughly inspect every page and report to the conducting authorities immediately, if anything is found to be missing.
  • Candidates must neatly write the name and roll number in the question booklet and answer sheet in the space provided.
  • Answer sheets without the candidate’s name or roll number in the requisite fields will not be evaluated.
  • Candidates must be careful not to write anything else in the answer sheet, especially in the response marking region.
