The AP DEECET 2026 computer-based test was successfully held on July 1, 2026, and the results alongside merit rank cards were declared on July 8, 2026.

 Step-by-Step Counselling Process

The AP DEECET counselling is conducted online through the official APCFSS portal. Eligible candidates must navigate the following stages:

1.Check Eligibility & Login

Access the official portal at apdeecet.apcfss.in. Check the merit list using your candidate details and log into the web options portal using your hall ticket number and date of birth.

2.Web Option Entry

Submit your choices of Teacher Training Institutes and Government DIETs online. Ensure you arrange the colleges in a descending order of preference, as seat allotment is highly dependent on this priority.

3.Seat Allotment

The authority will issue provisional seat allotment letters based on your entrance rank, category, local area status, and chosen preferences. Download your provisional allocation letter from the JOAPS-style portal.

4.Document Verification at Government DIETs

Report physically to the designated Government District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) closest to you. Carry your original academic and caste certificates for verification.

5.Final Admission Letter & Reporting

After verification, obtain your official Final Admission Letter. Report to the allotted college before July 30, 2026, to finalize your admission and start attending regular classes.

Counselling Registration Fees

  • Registration Fee: The counselling fee is typically integrated with the main application fee, which was paid during registration (Rs.1,000 for general/reserved categories).
  • Admission & Tuition Fees: Candidates allotted a seat in Government DIETs or Private Un-Aided Elementary Teacher Education institutions must pay the admission/tuition fee specified in their allotment letter at the time of reporting.

Documents Required for Physical Verification

Candidates must present one set of self-attested photocopies along with the following original documents during certificate verification at the DIET center:

    • AP DEECET 2026 Rank Card & Hall Ticket
    • Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
    • Class 10 (SSC) Marksheet or equivalent (serving as age proof)
    • Intermediate (Class 12) Marksheet and Passing Certificate
    • Study and Conduct Certificates from Class 6 to 12
    • Residence Certificate (proving local/non-local status in AP)
    • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last-attended institution
    • Integrated Community Certificate (Caste Certificate for SC/ST/BC)
    • Income Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2026 (for fee reimbursement schemes, if applicable)
    • Special Category Certificates (NCC, Sports, CAP, or PwD) if applicable
  • AP DEECET Counselling 2026

Q1: What is the minimum qualifying score to participate in AP DEECET 2026 counselling?

A: General and BC category candidates must score a minimum of 25% marks (25 out of 100) in the entrance test. There are no minimum qualifying marks specified for SC and ST candidates; they only need a valid rank.

Q2: Can students who passed Intermediate via vocational courses apply for counselling?

A: No. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 exams strictly through vocational courses are not eligible for D.El.Ed admission through AP DEECET.

Q3: What if I do not report to the DIET for certificate verification within the given dates?

A: If you fail to complete physical certificate verification between July 24 and July 29, 2026, your provisional seat allocation will stand canceled automatically, and you will have to wait for the next phase of counselling (if vacant seats remain).

Q4: Will there be a Phase 2 of AP DEECET counselling?

A: Yes. If seats remain vacant in Government DIETs or private colleges after Phase 1 reporting, the Department of School Education will conduct Phase 2 web options and seat allotment in August 2026.

Q5: How is AP DEECET different from AP EdCET?

A: AP DEECET is for admission into the 2-year D.El.Ed diploma after Intermediate (Class 12), qualifying you to teach primary classes. AP EdCET is a degree entrance test for the 2-year B.Ed program after Graduation, qualifying you to teach secondary classes.
