AP DEECET (Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test)

Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test is also known as AP DEECET 2024. This exam is conducted by the Department of School Education on the behalf of Government of Andhra Pradesh. Applications are welcomed from applicants who wish to take admitted to 2 years Diploma in Education (D.Ed) in the Government District Institution of Educational Training (DIET) and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in Andhra Pradesh for the academic session 2024-2024. The Governing officials released the notification for AP DEECET 2024 on their official site. The application form will be filled in two stages for this exam. Candidates have to fill out the application only if they satisfy the qualification criteria imposed by the Board.

AP DEECET 2024 Eligibility:

  1. The candidate who passed or appeared for the 10+2 during the 2024-24 final Examinations (Qualifying Examination) or its equivalent is eligible to appear for the entrance test. But, they should have passed the qualifying examination by the time of admission.
  2. The candidate should have secured 50 percent of marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination for appearing in the DEECET – 2024 for both A & B category seats. The minimum percentage of marks in the case of Schedule caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Physically Challenged candidates shall, however, be 45 percent for both A & B category seats
  3. Candidates belonging to “O.C” and “B.C” communities shall secure a minimum of 50% marks in DEECET - 2024. For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Physically Challenged candidates the minimum qualifying mark for allotment of seats reserved under the respective categories will be 45%. That is to say, candidates belonging to SC and ST  communities should secure 50% of marks for consideration against seats under OC/NCC/CAP/Sports category. Note: The candidates who passed Intermediate with vocational courses are not eligible
