COMEDK UGET 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The COMEDK UGET 2026 eligibility criteria outline the essential qualifications candidates must meet to apply for the entrance examination for undergraduate engineering courses in Karnataka. These criteria ensure that applicants possess the required academic background, age, and subject proficiency. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board. Additionally, eligibility varies for B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch programs, with specific marks and subject requirements defined by COMEDK. Nationality

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Foreign nationals, NRIs, and PIOs are not eligible for COMEDK UGET 2026.

Age Limit

  • There is no specific upper age limit prescribed by COMEDK.
  • However, candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2026.

Educational Eligibility-

  • The second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or an equivalent exam approved by the State or Central Government are the qualifying exams required for admission to B.E./B.Tech programs; the final two years of study must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a required subject.
  • Candidates for general merit must have earned at least 45% of the possible points in mathematics, physics, and chemistry (or 40% for Karnataka State SC, ST, and OBC candidates) and must have passed each subject separately.
  • Along with chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, and electronics as an elective, physics and mathematics are required courses. However, any modifications made by the AICTE/VTU to the eligibility requirements will be implemented.
  • Since there are no lateral entry admissions, diploma students are not permitted to sit the entrance exam.
