The KU CAT 2026 eligibility criteria provide the basic requirements candidates must meet to appear for the Kerala University Common Admission Test. The detailed eligibility criteria for KU CAT 2026 (Kerala University Common Admission Test) are as follows:

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • A minimum aggregate of 50% marks is required for general, EWS, and OBC candidates.
  • For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the minimum aggregate required is 45%.
  • Degrees accepted must follow the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern. For example, B.Com, BA, B.Sc. should be under 10+2+3, whereas degrees like B.Tech, B.Arch under 10+2+4 pattern are also eligible.
  • Candidates with postgraduate degrees like M.Com, MA, M.Sc (minimum 50%) from recognized universities are also eligible.

Other Eligibility Conditions

  • Final-year degree students who are awaiting results can also apply, but admission is provisional until degree completion is confirmed.
  • There is no age limit or restriction on the number of attempts to appear for KU CAT.
  • Candidates must be Indian nationals.

Reservation and Preferences

  • Reservations as per Kerala University norms apply for SC (15%), ST (5%), SEBC, and other backward classes.
  • Preferences are given as per government rules for economically and socially backward classes.
  • Candidates from reserved categories must produce appropriate certificates during admission.
