MHT CET 2021 Exam Pattern

The test pattern of MHT CET 2021 includes information about the total time allotted to complete the test, mode of the exam, sections and sectional weightage in the paper, marking scheme and a total number of questions and marks allotted, etc. The MHT CET exam pattern 2021 mentions that the questions will be application base. The MHT CET questions will be based on the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. There is no negative marking and the difficulty level of the exam will be at par with JEE Main. Twenty per cent weightage will be given to standard XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to standard XII curriculum in the question paper of MHT CET. Candidates will have to answer questions from Physics, Maths and Chemistry from the complete syllabus of Class XII.

MHT CET Exam Pattern 2021

  • MHT CET 2021 will be conducted from April 2021 through Online mode. The test will have 2 papers – Paper-I (Mathematics) & Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry) and all candidates have to appear in both the papers.
  • Each paper will be for 1.30 hours. Paper I and Paper II will carry a weightage of 100 marks.
  • Paper-I will have a total of 50 questions, while Paper II will carry 100 questions, 50 questions each from Physics and Chemistry.
  • Each correct answer in Paper I will be given 2 marks, while each correct answer in Paper-II will be awarded 1 mark.
  • Paper-I will be held in English language only, while Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry) will be held in English/Hindi/Marathi languages.
  • There will be no negative marking in the test.

  • Candidates who are seeking admissions for the Engineering and Technology courses are mandatorily required to appear for Paper 1 and Paper 2
