NERIST NEE 2026 Counselling

NERIST NEE Counselling Process 2026

The NERIST NEE 2026 counselling process is a crucial phase following the entrance exam and result declaration. NERIST NEE is designed to allocate seats to qualified candidates in various Certificate, Diploma, and Degree programs offered by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology. This process is conducted in multiple rounds and ensures that admissions are merit-based, transparent, and systematic.

NERIST NEE 2026 Counselling Process Overview

Step 1: Counselling Registration

  • After the declaration of NERIST NEE results and merit lists, qualified candidates must register online for the counselling process through the official portal.
  • The schedule is notified on the official NERIST

Step 2: Issuance of Counselling Letter

  • Only those candidates whose names appear on the merit or wait-list receive official counselling call letters, which are mandatory for subsequent participation.

Step 3: Document Verification

Candidates must physically attend the counselling session with original documents and attested photocopies, including:

  • NEE admit card and results/scorecard
  • Academic certificates (Class 10/12/Diploma as applicable)
  • Category, domicile, income, and medical certificates if required
  • Recent passport-size photographs and government-issued ID
  • Transfer/migration/character/anti-ragging certificates as specified.

Step 4: Choice Filling and Course Preference

  • Based on merit and availability of seats, candidates fill in their preferred course and specialization choices.
  • Choices are locked and cannot be changed after confirmation; ranking and preferences determine seat allotment.

Step 5: Seat Allotment

  • The seat allotment is announced according to rank, category, preference, and seat availability.
  • Results are published online and candidates are informed accordingly.

Step 6: Admission Fee Payment and Reporting

  • Allotted candidates must promptly pay the admission fee online or at notified campus counters to confirm allotment.
  • Final admission is granted only after document verification and successful fee payment.

Step 7: Subsequent Rounds and Spot Counselling

  • Those not allotted seats in initial rounds may participate in further and spot counselling rounds for remaining/vacant seats.
  • Extended waiting lists are also considered.

Counselling Schedule for NERIST NEE 2026

  • Usually begins in June to July, shortly after NEE results announcement.
  • Conducted in separate phases for each module (NEE-I, NEE-II, NEE-III).
  • Multiple and spot rounds are organized until all seats are filled.
