OJEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is a state-level gateway for candidates aiming to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and lateral entry professional courses such as B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, and B.Arch across participating institutes in Odisha. Understanding the detailed eligibility criteria for OJEE 2027 is crucial for a successful application and admission process.

Overview of OJEE 2027 Eligibility:

  • Nationality: Open primarily to citizens of India. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) can also apply, though their admissions are restricted to supernumerary seats.
  • Age Limit: Generally, there is no upper age limit for postgraduate or most undergraduate courses. However, for specific medical and allied programs like BAMS/BHMS or B.Pharm, candidates must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31, 2027.
  • Educational Qualification: Varies by level. Undergraduate programs require a Class 12 or equivalent pass, while postgraduate programs require a bachelor's degree or diploma from a recognized university in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum Marks: General category candidates typically need between 45% to 50% (and 55% for specific programs like M.Pharm) in their qualifying examinations, while reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD) enjoy a relaxation of 5%.
  • Work Experience: OJEE eligibility criteria do not mandate any work experience; both working and non-working applicants are eligible to apply.
