PDEU 2026 Counselling

PDEU 2026 – Counselling Process

Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is a premier institution renowned globally for its specialized education and research in energy, engineering, management, and liberal arts. For undergraduate B.Tech admissions, PDEU does not conduct its own separate entrance exam; instead, seat allocation is based directly on merit rankings from national and state-level exams. B.Tech seats are divided into three distinct categories: All India Seats (75%) which are allocated directly by PDEU based on JEE Main 2026 scores, Gujarat State Seats (25%) managed separately by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) based on GUJCET 2026, and a supernumerary NRI/NRI-sponsored quota (15%). The application portal for the 2026 session opened on January 15, 2026, and closed on May 25, 2026.

Step-by-Step Counselling Process

The counselling process for PDEU's All India Quota operates via its independent university portal. Candidates must proceed through the following stages:

1.Online Portal Registration

Register on the official PDEU B.Tech admission portal. Create your profile using a valid email ID and phone number to obtain your system-generated login credentials.

2.Input Exam Scores & Choices

Log in to fill out the form. Enter your class 10 and 12 details, along with your official JEE Main 2026 All India Rank (CRL). Provide your preferred branches of engineering (e.g., Computer, Petroleum, ICT) in order of preference.

3.Upload Documents & Pay Application Fee

Upload clear, scanned copies of required academic sheets, category certificates, and your JEE Main scorecard. Pay the non-refundable registration fee to submit the application.

4.Merit Rank List & Admission Offer

PDEU publishes its internal merit list based strictly on JEE Main scores. Log in during the respective allotment rounds to see if you have received a branch offer.

5.Fee Payment & Booking Confirmation

If offered a seat, pay the first-semester academic fee online to accept and secure your admission. If you do not pay within the round deadline, your offer is canceled and passed to the next candidate on the waiting list.

FAQs

Q1: Does PDEU participate in the centralized JoSAA or CSAB counselling?

A: No. PDEU does not participate in JoSAA/CSAB counselling rounds. For the All India Quota seats, you must register and apply directly via the official admission portal of PDEU (pdeu.ac.in).

Q2: How are the seats divided between JEE Main and GUJCET takers?

A: For Gujarat State Quota seats (25%), admissions are filled based on GUJCET performance via ACPC Gujarat. The All India Quota seats (75%) are allocated directly by PDEU based on the candidates' JEE Main All India Ranks.

Q3: Can I apply for admissions at PDEU if I am currently awaiting my 10+2 compartment/improvement results?

A: No. You must have cleared your qualifying 10+2 examinations with a minimum aggregate of 45% in PCM subjects (40% for reserved categories) at the time of online document verification to be considered eligible.

Q4: Is there a fee refund policy if I withdraw my seat after paying the semester fee?

A: Yes. PDEU processes refunds based on University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines. If you cancel your admission online before the officially declared cutoff date, the university will refund your payment after deducting a nominal processing charge.

Q5: Does PDEU offer any tuition fee waiver or scholarships during counselling?

A: Yes, PDEU offers attractive merit scholarships. Candidates who fall within top specified brackets of JEE Main All India Ranks or ACPC merit ranks are eligible for a full (100%) tuition fee waiver for the B.Tech program.
