PESSAT 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The People’s Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT) 2026 is the entrance examination conducted by PES University, Bengaluru for admission to its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The eligibility criteria for PESSAT 2026 are set to ensure that candidates possess the minimum academic qualifications, subject knowledge, and skills required for successful participation in their chosen programs. These criteria vary according to the level of study (undergraduate or postgraduate) and the specific program applied for.

General Requirements

  • Age Limit: Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 2000.
  • Nationality: Indian citizens and foreign nationals are eligible.
  • Application Process: Candidates must register online through the PES University admissions portal.

Undergraduate Programs-

B.Tech Programs

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
  • Entrance Exam: Admission is based on JEE Main 2026 or KCET 2026 scores.

B.Des (Bachelor of Design)

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for the PESSAT Design Aptitude Test.
  • Note: The test evaluates creativity, spatial ability, and design thinking.

BBA/B.Com Programs

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Entrance Exam: Admission is based on PESSAT 2026 scores.

Postgraduate Programs

MBA (Master of Business Administration)

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Entrance Exam: Admission is based on PESSAT 2026 scores.
  • Note: Candidates with valid CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT scores may also be considered.

M.Tech Programs

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have a B.Tech/B.E. degree in the relevant discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Entrance Exam: Admission is based on PESSAT 2026 scores.

Other Programs

B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture)

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks and have a valid NATA score.
  • Note: Candidates must upload their NATA score and 12th standard marks on the PES University portal.

Diploma Programs

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+3 diploma examination with at least 60% aggregate marks in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.
  • Entrance Exam: Admission is through Karnataka DCET or PES Entrance Process.

Ans. B.Tech: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject, minimum 60% aggregate. BBA/BCA/B.Com/B.Des: 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks. B.Arch: 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics or 10+3 diploma with Mathematics, minimum 50% marks.

Ans.  MBA/M.Tech/MCA: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks. M.Pharm/M.Sc (Psychology)/Ph.D.: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field with minimum 50% marks.
