SET Counselling Process

Step 1 – Check Results and Cut-Offs

Step 2 – Register for Counselling

• Shortlisted candidates must register separately for counselling at the respective institute’s portal.

Step 3 – Participate in PI-WAT / Studio Test

• For most programs, candidates are evaluated based on
• PI (Personal Interview)
• WAT (Written Ability Test)
• Studio Test / Portfolio Review (for SEED applicants in B.Des programs)
• The performance in these rounds significantly influences the final merit list.

Step 4 – Seat Allotment

Institutes release a provisional merit list based on

SET 2027 Counselling FAQs

Ques.1 When will SET 2027 counselling start?

Ans.  SET 2027 counselling (Personal Interaction & Writing Ability Test / PI-WAT rounds) is expected to begin in the first week of June 2027 (tentatively June 1, 2027).

Ques.2 Is the SET 2027 counselling process centralized?

Ans. No, there is no centralized counselling for SET 2027. Each Symbiosis institute conducts separate counselling and admissions for their respective undergraduate programs.

Ques.3 How will I know if I am shortlisted for counselling?

Ans. After the declaration of SET 2027 results, each participating institute will release its cut-off marks.

• If your SET score meets or exceeds the cut-off, you will be shortlisted.
• You will then have to register separately for counselling on the respective institute’s website.

Ques.4 Is the SET 2027 counselling conducted online or offline?

Ans. The initial registration and document submission are done online. The PI-WAT/Studio Test may be conducted online or offline, depending on the institute. The final admission confirmation generally requires physical reporting to the campus.
