 SNAP 2026 SYLLABUS

The SNAP 2026 syllabus is divided into three main sections, each designed to assess different skill sets required for management studies:

Section 1: General English (15 Questions)

This section tests your command of the English language with a focus on grammar and vocabulary rather than long reading passages.

  • Grammar: Parts of Speech, Sentence Correction, Subject-Verb Agreement, Tenses, Modifiers, and Active/Passive Voice.
  • Vocabulary: Synonyms & Antonyms, One-word Substitution, Idioms & Phrases, Phrasal Verbs, and Confused Words (e.g., affect vs. effect).
  • Verbal Ability: Fill in the Blanks (grammar or vocabulary based), Para-jumbles, Analogies, and Odd One Out.
  • Note: Reading Comprehension is not a consistent feature in SNAP, though it is often included in the syllabus as a possibility.

Section 2: Analytical & Logical Reasoning (25 Questions)

This is the highest-weightage section and generally the most scoring. It tests both verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

  • Verbal Reasoning: Syllogisms, Statement-Assumption, Statement-Conclusion, Cause & Effect, Course of Action, and Critical Reasoning (Inference/Arguments).
  • Non-Verbal & Logical Reasoning: Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Family Tree, and Symbol-based problems.
  • Puzzles & Arrangements: Linear Arrangements, Matrix/Grid Arrangements, and Seating Puzzles.
  • Time-Based Logic: Clocks, Calendars, and Number/Letter Series.

Section 3: Quantitative, DI & Data Sufficiency (20 Questions)

The math in SNAP is typically of a moderate level compared to CAT. The focus is on arithmetic and speed.

  • Arithmetic: Percentages, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Time-Speed-Distance, and Time & Work.
  • Algebra: Linear & Quadratic Equations, Inequalities, Progressions (AP/GP), and Logarithms.
  • Geometry & Mensuration: Triangles, Circles, Quadrilaterals, Areas/Volumes of 2D & 3D figures, and basic Coordinate Geometry.
  • Number System: HCF & LCM, Remainders, Factors, Divisibility, and Base Systems.
  • Data Interpretation (DI): Pie Charts, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, and Tables.
