ACHARYA N.G. RANGA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY – ADMISSIONS

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) admissions are conducted separately for Diploma, UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes, with selection mainly through entrance exams and counselling as notified on the university admissions page.

Admission Process-

ANGRAU follows a structured process: check eligibility and notifications, apply online (or via APSCHE for UG), appear in the relevant entrance test (if applicable), attend counselling, and complete document verification with fee payment for final admission.

Step 1: Check Course & Eligibility

• Visit the ANGRAU website and open the “Admissions AY 2025–26” section to see available UG, PG, PhD, diploma, and certificate courses.
• Read the information brochure/notification for your course to confirm eligibility (qualification, subjects, age, category rules) and selection mode (entrance test vs merit).

Step 2: Entrance Exam / Score (If Required)

• UG (B.Sc Agriculture, B.Tech): Ensure you have applied for and written AP EAPCET (or relevant exam) and obtained a valid rank.
• PG/PhD: Register for ANGRAU’s PG/PhD entrance test (or valid ICAR/other score where specified) as per the notification.

Step 3: Online Application / Registration

• For UG: Register on the APSCHE / ANGRAU UG portal (ugadmissionsangrau.aptonline.in) using EAPCET hall ticket, rank, and personal details.
• For PG/PhD: Fill the online application form on the ANGRAU PG/PhD admissions portal, upload required documents, and submit within the given dates.

Step 4: Pay Application / Counselling Fee

• Pay the prescribed application or counselling fee online (debit/credit card, net banking, UPI) as specified in the notification.
• Download/print the fee receipt and filled-in application for future reference.

Step 5: Merit List / Rank List

• For entrance-based courses, ANGRAU or APSCHE publishes rank lists or merit lists based on entrance scores and reservation rules.
• For merit-based courses (e.g., some diplomas, B.Sc Community Science, certificates), lists are prepared from qualifying exam marks.

Step 6: Web Counselling / Option Entry

• UG: Participate in web counselling; log in, fill and lock college/course preferences as per your rank during the scheduled rounds.
• PG/PhD: Attend counselling rounds notified by ANGRAU (may include choice filling and verification) as per the schedule PDF on the site.

Step 7: Seat Allotment

• Seats are allotted based on rank/merit, reservation category, local/non-local status, and choices entered.
• Download the provisional allotment order from the portal within the specified time.

Step 8: Document Verification

Carry originals and photocopies to the allotted verification centre/college:

• Hall ticket and rank card of the relevant entrance exam
• SSC & Intermediate / Degree / PG mark sheets and certificates
• Transfer Certificate (TC)
• Caste, income, EWS, residence/nativity, NCC/Sports/PH/CAP certificates as applicable
• Aadhaar and passport-sized photographs

Step 9: Fee Payment & Reporting

• Pay the prescribed tuition and other fees at the allotted college or through the specified online link within the given deadline.
• Report to the college with allotment order and fee receipt to confirm admission; failure to report may lead to cancellation of the seat.

Step 10: Spot / Mop-Up Rounds (If Any)

• If seats remain vacant, ANGRAU issues spot or mop-up round notices with schedule and conditions (often higher fee or no sliding).
• Eligible candidates can attend these rounds with all documents and required fee/DD to compete for leftover seats.

 Documents Required-

Identity & Academic Records

• SSC/10th Class Certificate and Memo (for date of birth and proof of passing).
• Intermediate/10+2 marks memo and pass certificate (for UG admission).
• Degree marks memos and provisional/degree certificate (for PG admission).
• PG marks memos and provisional/degree certificate (for PhD admission).
• Transfer Certificate (TC) / Migration Certificate from last institution.
• Study/Conduct certificate(s) from schools/colleges attended (often from Class VI onwards for local status).

Category, Residence & Income

• Caste/Community certificate for SC/ST/BC candidates in prescribed format issued by competent authority.
• EWS certificate (for candidates claiming EWS reservation).
• Latest Income certificate of parents/guardian for fee reimbursement/Scholarships where applicable.
• Residence/Nativity certificate (for state/local quota verification).

Special Category & Other Certificates

• NCC/NSS certificates (if claiming reservation/weightage).
• Sports/Games certificates at district/state/national level, if applicable.
• PH/Disability certificate from a designated medical board, for PH quota.
• CAP/Ex-servicemen or defence personnel certificate where relevant.
• Any NRI sponsorship/relationship documents (for NRI quota, if applicable).

Personal Identification & Photos

• Aadhaar card or other government photo ID.
• Several recent passport-size colour photographs as specified in the notification.
