ANGRAU students are eligible for multiple scholarships from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Government of India, and a few university/ICAR-linked schemes, mainly based on category, income, and merit.
Under Jagan Anna Vidya Deevena Scheme, Andhra Pradesh government is providing financial funds to all of the students who are willing to study and gain higher education but unable to pay their fees because of the financial burden of their family. The reimbursement will be directly credited into the mothers’ account of the students in four installments annually. Under Jagan Anna Vidya Deevena Scheme, the fee of students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, backward classes, minorities, Kapus, economically backward classes and differently able categories whose annual family income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh will be reimbursed
Under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena, the government provides for the hostel and mess charges of BPL students. Students will receive Rs.20,000/- in two installments in an academic year.
Post Graduate Stipend
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is providing stipend of Rs.10,000/ - month to the Ph.D and Rs.7,000/- month to the M.Sc students.
Senior Research Fellowship
Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi provides Senior Research Fellowship of Rs.31,000/- month for First and Second years and Rs. 35,000/- month for third year and Rs.10,000/- annum as contingency to Students who are selected through AIEEA (PG) to pursue their Ph.D programme.
Junior Research Fellowship
Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi provides Junior Research Fellowship of Rs.12640/- month and Rs.6000/- annum as contingency to Students who are selected through AIEEA (PG) to pursue their M.Sc programme
National Talent Scholarship
Merit based support through National Talent Scholarship to the Under-graduates ( Rs.3000/ month) and Post graduate students ( Rs.5000/- month) seeking admission in Agricultural Universities in a State other than the State of their domicile, through ICAR All India Entrance Examination (AIEE).
Merit Cum Means Scholarship
With a view to attract meritorious under-graduate students to prosecute their study in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science up to graduation level, ICAR sanctioned a scheme under which scholarships in these subjects are awarded annually on the basis of merit-cum-means Rs.1000/ month.
Student Ready
The Student READY (Rural Entrepreneurship Awareness Development Yojana) programme aims to provide rural entrepreneurship awareness, practical experience in real-life situation in rural agriculture and creating awareness to undergraduate students about practical agriculture and allied sciences. The programme will help in building confidence, skill and acquire Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK) of the locality and thereby, preparing the pass-out for self-employment.
University Grants Commission is providing the fellowships to the deprived section of the society and to provide them opportunity to undertake advanced studies and research as entrusted and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The objective of this award is to provide fellowships in the form of financial assistance to students belonging to SC/ST to pursue higher studies.
Maulana Azad National Fellowship For Minority Students
The objective of the scheme is to provide fellowships in the form of financial assistance to students from minority communities, as notified by the Central Government to pursue higher studies such as M.Phil. and Ph.D. at Indian Universities/Institutions/Colleges.
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Scheme of UGC
The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) scheme of the University Grants Commission (UGC) is open to candidates who qualify in the National Eligibility Test-Junior Research Fellowship(NET-JRF) of the UGC and the UGC-Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (UGC-CSIR) joint test.
CSIR Fellowships :
The EMR Division under HRD Group of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) provide CSIR Research Fellowships and Associateships to bright young men and women for training in methods of research under the expert guidance of faculty members/scientists working in University Departments/Institutes of National Importance/National Laboratories and Institutes of CSIR in various fields of Science & Technology and Medical Sciences.
