Central Agricultural University  - Application /Admission Process

For admission to Central Agricultural University Imphal, there are three entry points.

• Through State Nomination: CAU Imphal offers admission to all seven North Eastern States under its jurisdiction (Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura). For a state nomination, candidates should contact the appropriate state departments of veterinary science, animal husbandry, horticulture, and agriculture. In accordance with the undergraduate reservation policies of the relevant states, 85% of the total seats are distributed via State Nomination. State nominations are not accepted for PG and PhD programs. 

• Through ICAR AIEEA: During the counseling process, candidates can select Central Agricultural University, Imphal as their university choice by taking the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA), which is administered by the National Testing Agency. According to the rigorous ICAR reservation policy, 15% of undergraduate seats are set aside for applicants from throughout India through the CUET Entrance Exam. 75% of the places in postgraduate and doctoral programs are chosen by means of the University Entrance Test, which is available to applicants from all over India and is administered by CAU Imphal. According to the ICAR reservation policy, 25% of the seats are reserved for applicants from all around India through the AIEEA Entrance Exam. 

• Through Self-Financed Seat: Candidates from all over India are welcome to apply for Self-Financed programs. A test of admission may be administered by CAU Imphal, or candidates may be chosen based on their AIEEA results. In certain fields, the self-financed program is offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
