DMI College of Engineering Application/Admission Process

Admission to the DMI College of Engineering (DMICE), Chennai, for the 2026–2027 academic session is primarily entrance-based. The college follows the guidelines set by Anna University for admissions.

Admission Process Overview

  • Undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech): Admissions are conducted primarily through the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counseling process.
  • Postgraduate (M.E./M.Tech/MBA/MCA): Admissions are based on merit in entrance exams such as TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) or CEETA-PG (for M.E./M.Tech).

  • TNEA (B.E./B.Tech): The choice-filling window is scheduled to open on July 20, 2026.
  • PG Programs: Counseling registration for TANCET is closed. Choice filling for the MCA program begins July 25, 2026, and for the MBA program, it begins July 30, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

B.E. / B.Tech- 10+2 (HSC) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects, with a minimum aggregate of 45%–50%.

M.E. / M.Tech- A Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

MBA- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

How to Apply

  1. Online Registration: Candidates must register via the official TNEA portal for UG programs or the TANCET portal for PG programs.
  2. College Application: While seat allotment is governed by government counseling, you should also visit the DMICE Admission Portal to fill out any internal inquiry or application forms requested by the college to confirm your interest and seat status.
  3. Documentation: Keep the following documents ready for verification:
    • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets.
    • Graduation degree/mark sheets (for PG applicants).
