G.B.Pant Memorial Govt. PG College, Rampur Scholarships & Eligibility

G.B. Pant Memorial Government College offers several scholarship opportunities to assist students from various backgrounds. These include state-funded, centrally sponsored (NSP), and locally instituted awards.

For the 2026-27 academic session, eligible students can apply for the following major schemes:

Merit-Based Scholarships

These are awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in their previous board or university examinations.

Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojna: Awarded to students who appear in the merit list of 10+2 examinations or undergraduate degrees. The scholarship amount is typically around Rs. 18,000 per year.
Kalpana Chawla Chhatravriti Yojna: Specifically for meritorious girl students from the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). It provides approximately Rs. 18,000 annually for the duration of the degree.
Swami Vivekanand Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojna: Aimed at meritorious students from the General category who have performed exceptionally in their +2 examinations.

Social & Category-Based Scholarships

These schemes focus on supporting students from marginalized or economically weaker sections of society.

Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students: A centrally sponsored scheme for students whose family income does not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakh per annum. It often covers the full tuition fee and provides a maintenance allowance.
Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship (EBC): Targeted at students from the Economically Backward Classes (General Category) with an annual family income limit of Rs.2.50 Lakh.
Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Kalyan Yojna: Dedicated to students belonging to IRDP/BPL families. It provides Rs. 5,000 for day scholars and Rs. 6,000 for hostellers annually.
Scholarships for Students with Disabilities: Financial aid for students with a 40% or higher disability, provided their family income is within specified limits.

Local & Private Awards

The college also facilitates rewards instituted by its own staff, alumni (OSA), and the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA).

S.D. Puri Memorial Scholarship: An award of Rs. 2,500 given to students who stand first in B.Sc. (Non-Medical) and M.Sc./M.A. Mathematics within the college.
Teaching Staff & PTA Aid: Small financial grants for "Poverty-cum-Merit" students are often disbursed through the college’s internal welfare funds.
