Government Post Graduate College, Bilaspur (HP), offers a variety of scholarship programs funded by both the state and central governments. These are designed to ensure that merit and financial constraints do not hinder a student's education.

State-Level Scholarships (Himachal Pradesh Govt.)

These schemes are specifically for students who are Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh.

  • Kalpana Chawla Chatravriti Yojana: One of the most popular schemes, it provides Rs.15,000 to Rs.18,000 per year to meritorious girl students based on their 10+2 merit from HPBOSE.

  • Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Kalyan Yojna: Aimed at students from IRDP/BPL families, providing roughly Rs.5,000 per year for day scholars and slightly more for hostellers.

  • Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Yojana: Targeted at meritorious students from SC and OBC categories who score above a certain percentage (usually 70%+) in their board exams. 

  • Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojana: Awarded strictly on merit to students who join professional or academic courses after achieving at least 60% in their 10+2 exams. 

  • Maharishi Balmiki Chattravriti Yojana: Dedicated financial assistance for girl students belonging to Balmiki families.
