Telangana State ePASS (Electronic Payment & Application System)

The TS ePASS portal is the primary gateway for state-funded scholarships. It provides two main types of assistance:

  • Reimbursement of Tuition Fee (RTF): This covers the college tuition fees. For most government college students, the full fee is reimbursed directly to the institution.

  • Maintenance Fee (MTF): Also known as a "mess charge" or stipend, this is paid directly to the student’s Aadhaar-seeded bank account for living expenses.

 

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS)

For highly meritorious students, the Ministry of Education (Government of India) provides the Central Sector Scheme.

  • Eligibility: Students must have scored above the 80th percentile in their Class 12 board exams and have a family income below Rs.4.5 Lakhs (recently updated to ?8 Lakhs in some guidelines).

  • Benefits: ?10,000 per year for the first three years of graduation and Rs.20,000 per year for postgraduate studies.

  • Application: Conducted through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

 

Special & Meritorious Scholarships

  • Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi: For SC/ST/BC/Minority students planning to pursue Master’s degrees abroad (up to Rs.20 Lakhs).

  • Jignasa Study Project Awards: Students who win the state-level "Jignasa" research competition receive cash prizes and certificates from the Commissioner of Collegiate Education.

  • National Merit Scholarship: For students showing exceptional academic performance throughout their degree.
