Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao was born in 1932 in Gudlavalleru to Sri Nagaiah and Smt Mahalakshmi.
At the age of 51, he joined Sri Adusumilli Aswardha Narayan Murthy to establish the AANM & VVRSR Educational Society, mainly to bring technical education to the reach of rural population.

Seshadri Rao Gudlavalleru Engineering College is the vision of Late Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao, the man behind the college. It was started in the year 1998 by the AANM & VVRSR Educational Society with an intake of 180 students, and the current intake is 1200 in UG B.Tech and 186 in PG M.Tech and MBA.
The Society was established on 31st March 1981, mainly with the efforts of Late Sri Adusumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy and Late Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao with the main objective of establishing, aiding and maintaining Technical, Engineering and general educational institutions.
In the year 1981, the Society was established the Adusumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy and Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao (AANM & VVRSR) Polytechnic with an intake of 180 students. Today, the Polytechnic has an intake of 1320 students and is the first choice of many students seeking admission in private polytechnics through CEEP.
The Society started an English medium school, Adusumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy and Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao (AANM & VVRSR) Public School in 1988. In 2006-07 it was upgraded to A.P. Govt. Recognized High School and at present it has strength of 1170 students.
The Society, with a ambition to start an institute of Higher Engineering Education at Gudlavalleru, established the “Gudlavalleru Engineering College”, in 1998.
The Society started a Pharmacy Institute in 2009 'Vallabhaneni Venkatadri Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences' with an intake of 120. In 2012 sanction was obtained from AICTE for starting M.Pharmacy courses with specializations 'Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance' and 'Pharmaceutics' with an intake of 24 in each course.
