Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that invites companies for campus recruitment. The institute has consistently been ranked in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Pharmacy rankings for the past seven years; its NIRF ranking for 2024 is 87.

GNIPST's placement record shows that in 2023, 99% of students were placed through campus interviews. The maximum CTC (Cost to Company) reached ?8.00 LPA, while the average CTC was ?371,120. In 2023, 120 students from UG 4-year courses and PG 2-year courses were placed. For the 2023 academic year, the median salary offered to placed students ranged from ?3.51 LPA to ?4.21 LPA. 54 students were placed from the 4-year undergraduate program with a median salary of ?3.51 LPA, and 66 students from the 2-year postgraduate program were placed with a median salary of ?4.21 LPA.

In recent years, the highest salary package offered was ?3.6 LPA, and the average salary package was ?2.4 LPA. However, another source states that the highest package is ?6,50,000 and the average package is ?3,20,0008. Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology facilitates industrial training and visits for its students and organizes regular interaction and training programs to guide students for competitive exams like GPAT, GATE, and NIPER entrance exams. 

The Training and Placement Cell also organizes placement drives, inviting pharmaceutical companies such as Macleods, DWD Pharmaceuticals, CIPLA, GSK, and IQVIA for recruitment. As per the latest data, the highest salary offered was INR 7.25 LPA (CTC) while the average/lowest salary offered was INR 3.11 LPA (CTC).
