The admission process at Gauhati Medical College is carried out online. The college grants admission to its MBBS program based on the candidate's NEET UG scores. For MD/MS programs, admissions are based on NEET PG scores. Candidates who qualify must register for the All India and State Counselling Processes, which are managed by MCC and DME, Assam, respectively. Gauhati Medical College allocates 15% of its MBBS seats and 50% of its MD/MS seats through the All-India Quota. Additionally, candidates may secure admission through the State Quota for 85% of MBBS seats and 50% of MD/MS seats. For Super speciality courses like DM and M.Ch, admissions are merit-based, contingent on NEET SS examination results, followed by the counselling process.
