HARIDWAR UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS

Haridwar University admissions are primarily entrance exam based. The university conducts the Haridwar University Admission Entrance Test (HUAET) for UG and PG courses, as well as a separate entrance exam for PhD programs. Besides HUAET, the university accepts scores from national-level exams including JEE Main for BTech, CUET for UG courses, GATE for MTech, and UGC-NET or CSIR-NET for PhD admissions.

M.Sc (Computer Science)	Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications (BCA), Information Technology, or related field.
MCA (Computer Science)	10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects OR Diploma in Pharmacy (Lateral Entry). 50% marks in 10th and 12th; 60% in Diploma for Lateral Entry.
B.Tech (Engineering all fields)	10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with minimum aggregate of 60% marks.

M.Tech	B.E./ B.Tech degree in relevant field or a closely related field is required.
B.Com	12th in any stream with at least 50% marks from a recognized board.

MBA (Global)	Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration obtained with at least 60% marks from recognized university or institution.
MBA In Pharma Management/ MBA with IIM Certification (Finance/HR/ Marketing)	Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Minimum 50% aggregate in graduation (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
MBA Executive	Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Minimum 50% aggregate with 3+ years work experience (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
B.Sc (Agriculture Sci.)	10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects OR 10+2 in agriculture stream with 50% marks.
M.Sc (Agriculture Sci.)	Pass B.Sc. Agriculture from a recognized University or institution.
B.Pharm	10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects OR Diploma in Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) 50% marks in 10th and 12th; 60% in Diploma for Lateral Entry.

D.Pharm	Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects. 50% marks from recognized board.
M.Pharm M.Sc Pharmaceutical Science	Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized university. Minimum 55% aggregate in B.Pharm (50% for SC/ST/OBC). Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Biochemistry / B.Pharm / Biotechnology with minimum 55% of marks.
M.Sc (Microbiology)	Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biology / Zoology / Botany / Medical Lab Technology / Biochemistry / or any Life Science subject from a recognized university.
PhD Courses	A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master's degree programme after a 3-year bachelor's degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.

Selection Criteria

Haridwar University Selection Criteria for 2025 admissions are primarily merit-based with specific requirements depending on the program:

For Undergraduate Programs (like B.Tech, B.Sc, BCA, BBA, B.Com, B.Pharma):

Generally, candidates must pass 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50-60%.
For B.Tech, at least 45-60% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, plus valid JEE Main scores are required.
Other UG courses require passing 10+2 with relevant subjects and minimum marks usually starting from 50%.

For Postgraduate Programs (like M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, M.Pharma):

Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50-60% aggregate marks.
Admission to M.Tech considers GATE scores as applicable; other PG courses are usually merit-based.
Some courses require clearing the university's entrance exam (HUAET).

For Research Programs (PhD):

A relevant master’s degree with at least 60% marks is mandatory.
Valid scores in UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or GATE and performance in the university’s own entrance test and interview are considered.
