HARIDWAR UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Haridwar University offers a variety of scholarships to support and encourage meritorious, talented, and deserving students. The scholarships aim to make education affordable and promote inclusivity.

Types of Scholarships:

  • Merit-Based Scholarships: Students who secure more than 60% marks in 12th standard receive a 25% scholarship on tuition fees for the first year. Higher JEE rank holders (e.g., rank 1 to 1,00,000) can get up to 80% tuition fee waiver.
  • JEE Rank-Based Scholarships: Scholarships range from 10% to 80% tuition fee waivers depending on the rank bracket.
  • Sports Quota Scholarships: Awards based on National (50%), State (30%), District (20%), and School-level (10%) sports certificates.
  • Category and Need-Based Scholarships: Scholarships for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC categories, girls to promote education, Armed Forces/Farmers/Freedom Fighters families, and Uttarakhand domicile holders.
  • Special Scholarships: For students enrolled in M.Tech who qualify GATE exams, scholarships are offered through AICTE.
  • Academic Excellence Award: Students who score 85% and above in semester exams on the first attempt can receive Rs. 5000 as an academic award.
  • Other Fee Waivers: For families with university employees, orphans, and siblings of current students, specific concessions apply.

Application Process:

  • Scholarships are usually applicable on the tuition fee for the first academic year.
  • Relevant certificates and documents need to be submitted for verification.
  • Scholarships are periodically announced on the university website and through official notifications.
