Himalayan Institute of Technology (HIT Doon), Dehradun – Scholarships

Himalayan Institute of Technology offers a variety of scholarships aimed at supporting meritorious students and those from specific backgrounds. Following are the details of the scholarships that are available HIT Doon.

  1. Merit-Based Scholarships:
  • 90% and above in CAT/XAT and more than 50% in Graduation: 90% on tuition fee.
  • 80% - 89.5% in CAT/XAT and more than 50% in Graduation: 85% on tuition fee.
  • 70% - 79.5% in CAT/XAT and more than 50% in Graduation: 75% on tuition fee.
  • 60% - 69.5% in CAT/XAT and more than 60% in Graduation: 65% on tuition fee.
  • Similar criteria apply for MAT/CMAT/ATMA with slightly adjusted percentages.
  1. Domicile-Based Scholarship:
  • For permanent residents of Uttarakhand: 30% on tuition fee.
  • For students from specific northeastern states (Assam, Tripura, etc.): 10% on tuition fee.
  1. Girl Student Scholarship: Female candidates having a minimum aggregate of 50% in any graduation (15% on tuition fee).
  2. HIT Alumni Scholarship:
  • For HIT graduates with at least 50% in graduation and valid entrance exam scores:
  • 35% for alumni, or
  • 40% for those with over 75% in graduation.
  1. Sports Performance-Based Scholarship:
  • Candidates with state or national level sports achievements (10%-15% on tuition fee).
  • Candidates must have at least 50% in graduation(15% on tuition fee).
  1. Wards of Martyrs of Defence Personnel: Candidates must have at least 50% in graduation (90% on tuition fee).
  2. Twins Brothers/Sisters Scholarship: For twins studying together, with at least 50% in graduation (15% on tuition fee).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students must meet specific academic requirements to qualify for these scholarships.
  • Relevant documentation must be submitted alongside the scholarship application, including scorecards and proof of eligibility.

  • Candidates must fill out the HIT application form and indicate their interest in scholarships.

  • Scholarship seats are limited and awarded after classes commence.
  • The gross annual family income for domicile benefits should not exceed INR 8 lakhs.
