IIITDM Kurnool Application/Admission Process

The application and admission process for IIITDM Kurnool for the 2026 academic cycle is strictly centralized and varies depending on the level of the program.

1. Undergraduate Programs (B.Tech)

Admission is based solely on your performance in JEE Main 2026.

  • Step 1: Entrance Exam: Appear for JEE Main  Session 1 (January) or Session 2 (April 2026). 

  • Step 2: Registration: Register for JoSAA 2026 (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) starting June 2, 2026. 

  • Step 3: Choice Filling: Select "Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool" and your preferred branches (CSE, AI, ECE, Mechanical) in order of priority.

  • Step 4: Seat Allotment: Based on your All India Rank (AIR), seats are allotted across 5–6 JoSAA rounds.

  • Step 5: Document Verification: Upload certificates online and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF).

  • Step 6: Physical Reporting: Report to the Kurnool campus in mid-August 2026 for final registration.

  • Spot Round: If seats remain vacant, a special round is conducted via CSAB 2026 in late July/early August. 

2. Postgraduate Programs (M.Tech)

Admission is based on your GATE 2026 score.

  • Step 1: GATE Score: Secure a valid score in GATE  (Results were announced March 19, 2026). 

  • Step 2: CCMT Registration: Register on the CCMT 2026 portal between May 15 and June 5, 2026. 

  • Step 3: Seat Allotment: Rounds are typically conducted in June. You must pay the fee and verify documents online to "Freeze" your seat. 

  • Step 4: Final Reporting: Complete physical reporting at the institute as per the CCMT schedule.  

3. Doctoral Programs (Ph.D.)

The institute conducts its own selection for Ph.D. admissions twice a year.

  • Eligibility: Master's degree in a relevant field with a minimum percentage (usually 60% or 6.5 CGPA).

  • Entrance: Shortlisting is based on GATE  /NET scores or a written test conducted by the institute. 

  • Interview: Qualified candidates must attend a technical interview (Tentatively May–June 2026 for the July session).

Required Documents for Reporting

  • Class X and XII Marksheets & Certificates. 

  •  JEE Main/ GATE   Scorecard & Admit Card. 

  • JoSAA / CCMT Provisional Allotment Letter. 

  • Category Certificate (OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST) issued after April 1, 2026.

  • Transfer/Migration and Medical Fitness Certificate.
