The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai, known for its rigorous Management programs, has once again demonstrated strong placement outcomes for its 2024 batch. The placement drive concluded with impressive statistics that underscore the institute's reputation in the academic and corporate sectors. The highest package offered during this placement season reached INR 54 LPA, while the average package for the top 50% of the batch stood at INR 33.84 LPA. A total of 180 recruiters, including 67 new entrants, participated in the placement process, indicating a robust interest from various industries in hiring IIM Mumbai graduates.
The sectors that emerged as significant contributors to placements included Manufacturing, which accounted for 19% of the total placements, followed by Consulting and FMCG sectors. Notable companies that participated in the recruitment process included American Express, Accenture, Axis Bank, and Wipro, among others. This diverse representation from various industries reflects IIM Mumbai's strong industry connections and the versatility of its graduates.
In addition to final placements, IIM Mumbai also reported robust summer internship statistics for the 2023-25 batch. The highest stipend offered during these internships was INR 4.80 Lakhs per month, with an average stipend of INR 2.27 Lakhs per month. This performance highlights the institute's commitment to providing valuable experiential learning opportunities that enhance students' employability and readiness for the corporate world.
The Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) also showcased a positive trend, with 170 PPOs extended to students, representing approximately 38.11% of the batch. The average salary for these PPOs was recorded at INR 29.44 LPA, further demonstrating the effectiveness of IIM Mumbai's internship programs in securing employment for its students.
