Established in 1962 as University of Jodhpur through state legislation and inaugurated by President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on August 24, 1962, it integrated four historic government colleges including MBM Engineering College (now independent), Jaswant College, and others into faculties spanning engineering, commerce, law, arts, and sciences.
