NATA 2021 National Aptitude Test in Architecture is an entrance exam conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) for the admissions into the 5 years B.Arch Architecture degree course offered at all recognized institutions in all over India. B. Arch Architecture Degree Courses at various Institutions in India for the Academic Session 2021-22 shall be conducted in two sessions by the Council of Architecture i.e. the first test on April 2021 and second July 2021 at the various designated centres all over India. NATA will be measuring the aptitude of the candidate in the field of Architecture. NATA 2021 will be a one-day paper-based examination all over the country.
1) 10+2 or its equivalent passed/appearing with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
2) 10+3 Diploma in any stream passed/appearing recognized by Central/State Government with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
3) International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as one of the subjects of the examination.
4) There is no lower age limit.
5) No lateral admission is allowed at any other year/stage of B.Arch course based on any qualification.

1) Candidates have to visit the official website of NATA 2021.
2) Candidates have to fill the application form with their personal and academic details.
3) Upload the required documents and scanned images.
4) Once the images are successfully uploaded, the candidate can pay the application fee or generate e-challan.
5) When the payment is successful, “Confirmation Page” will be generated.
6) Candidates have to save and take a printout of the “Confirmation Page”.
7) No need to post-application or any document.
1) Mode of Exam:
Part A - Paper-based Test - PBT
Part B - Computer-based Test - CBT
2) Duration: 3 Hours and 15 Minutes
3) Total marks: 200 marks
5) No negative marking
6) Sections: Part-A will be Mathematics & Drawing Part -B General Aptitude test and Logical Reasoning.
NATA 2021 syllabus will be comprised of
a) Mathematics,
b) General Aptitude,
c) Logical Reasoning
d) Drawing.
NATA 2021 admit cards will be made available from April 2021 for first session and July 2021 for 2nd Session, on the official website. Admit card will contain details like candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time and venue etc. Candidates have to download the admit card and have to appear in the examination with admit card printout, photo as uploaded, and photo ID card. Candidates have to download the admit card, no post or email will be sent.
Candidates have to secure at least 25% of marks in Part-A Multiple Choice Questions part i.e. 30 marks out of 120 marks and 25% of marks in Part-B Drawing part i.e. 20 marks out of 80 marks. Overall qualifying marks out of 200 will be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council.
NATA 2021 results are expected to release by 1st July 2021. Candidates can check the official website for results. Rank cards will be made available on the official website after the announcement of the results. Candidates have to download the rank card, no post or email will be sent.
All candidates would get a unique rank at the time merit listing based on their marks. If more than one candidate gets the same marks, the tie is broken by applying below logic:
1) Considering marks obtained in Mathematics test
2) If a tie still exists, less wrong answers in attempted ones in Mathematics test will be considered.
3) If a tie still exists, marks obtained in Aptitude Test will be considered.
4) If a tie still exists, less wrong answers in attempted ones in Aptitude test will be considered.
5) If a tie still exists, the earlier date of birth will be considered.
Result Format:
The result will be in three formats:
1) Marks obtained out of 200 and in each section
2) Merit Listing: unique based on marks and tie-breaking rules mentioned above
3) Percentile score based on merit listing.
There are some crucial points that candidates need to be kept in mind during the admission process. The process is entirely based on the marks attained in NATA as well as the qualifying examination according to the ratio of 50:50. Once the score is received, one can apply for the admission to the institution as well as the university.
