Jalpaiguri Government Medical College Info

Jalpaiguri Government Medical college is a new medical college in the district of Jalpaiguri with up gradation of the existing District Hospital, Jalpaiguri. It has started a humble beginning of its infrastructure in the year 2021. The institute is having 3 MBBS batches with as intake capacity of 100 students per batch. There is separate hostels for boys and girls of MBBS batches in the new academic bathes.

The mission of the college will be to provide excellent knowledge as well as rigorous training that will prepare the students to meet the professional and scientific challenges that will dominate the 21st century. The highest caliber faculty, high class education, research and patient care all serve to attract the most deserving students to this institution.

Attached to this college is the existing District Hospital, not only to provide efficient patient care service to the people in the farthest corner of West Bengal but also to provide opportunity to 100 students to study the medical curriculum and apply their knowledge and expertise in the patient care service.
