Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Gurajada, Vizianagaram (JNTU-GV), offers premier engineering and computer application programmes through its constituent college. As a leading state-level technical institution in Andhra Pradesh, JNTU-GV follows a merit-based admission system governed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Admissions for the 2026 academic year for B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA are primarily based on state-level common entrance tests (CETs).

The institute is recognized for its university-level curriculum and diverse engineering tracks, including CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, IT, and EEE.

Admission Process

Admissions at JNTU College of Engineering, Vizianagaram, are integrated with the centralized counseling process of Andhra Pradesh.

• Entrance Examination: Candidates must appear for the relevant entrance exam—AP EAPCET (formerly EAMCET) for B.Tech, AP ECET for B.Tech Lateral Entry, AP PGECET/GATE for M.Tech, and AP ICET for MCA.

• Counseling Registration: Upon declaration of results, eligible rank holders must register for online web-based counseling on the APSCHE portal.

• Choice Filling: During the counseling process, candidates must select "JNTU College of Engineering, Vizianagaram" (College Code: JNVZ) as their preferred choice.

• Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on the candidate's rank, category, and availability of seats in the respective branch.

• Verification & Reporting: Allotted students must report to the college for physical document verification and payment of the admission/tuition fee to confirm their seat.

Eligibility Criteria

JNTU-GV adheres to the following academic standards for its various streams:

• Undergraduate (B.Tech):

  • Regular Entry: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories). A valid AP EAPCET rank is mandatory.

  • Lateral Entry: Diploma holders in a relevant engineering branch with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) are eligible for direct admission into the second year via AP ECET.

• Postgraduate (PG):

  • M.Tech: Requires a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant specialization with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories). Selection is via GATE (priority) or AP PGECET.

  • MCA: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and must have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level. Admission is through AP ICET.

Application & Admission Fees

Candidates pay entrance fees to the conducting authorities (APSCHE) and separate admission fees to the college upon selection.

• Entrance Fee (Approx.): AP EAPCET (?600–1200), AP PGECET (?600–1200), and AP ICET (?650).

• College Admission Fee: Approximately ?5,000–?5,200 is payable at the time of first-year admission as a development/special fee.

• Tuition Fees: For B.Tech, the fee is approximately ?10,000 per year for regular seats. For M.Tech, regular fees are around ?50,000 per year. Many students are eligible for the Jagananna Vidya Deevena (JVD) scheme, which covers full tuition fees for eligible candidates.
