Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Gurajada, Vizianagaram (JNTU-GV), as a premier state-governed institution, ensures that financial constraints do not hinder academic excellence. The university provides an extensive array of scholarships, primarily funded by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Central Government of India. These programs are designed to cover tuition fees, living expenses, and research costs for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh offers two flagship schemes that cover the majority of the student population at JNTU-GV.
This scheme provides 100% tuition fee reimbursement to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Target Groups: SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, and Kapu students.
Eligibility: * Annual family income must be below INR 2.5 Lakhs.
The student must have been admitted through the AP EAPCET (for B.Tech), AP ICET (for MCA), or AP PGECET (for M.Tech) counseling process.
Management quota students are generally ineligible.
Benefit: For B.Tech, the government reimburses approximately ?10,300 per year (standardized for government engineering colleges). For M.Tech, the reimbursement is approximately INR 53,000 per year, and for MCA, it is ?30,300 per year.
This scheme focuses on covering the food and hostel (maintenance) expenses of the students.
Eligibility: Same as the Vidya Deevena scheme (income and category based).
Benefit: * B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA Students: Receive ?20,000 per year in two installments (INR 10,000 each).
Polytechnic Students: Receive ?15,000 per year.
The amount is credited directly to the mother’s bank account to ensure it is utilized for the student's welfare.
Students can also apply for various schemes under the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Note that students usually cannot avail both state and central scholarships simultaneously; they must choose the one that offers higher benefits.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities (MOMA): For students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi communities with a family income below INR 2 Lakhs.
Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships (CSSS): For university students who are in the top 20th percentile of their 10+2 board results.
Pragati Scholarship Scheme (AICTE): Exclusively for girl students pursuing technical education, providing ?50,000 per year for every year of study.
Saksham Scholarship (AICTE): For specially-abled students with a disability of not less than 40%, providing ?50,000 per year.
GATE Stipend: M.Tech students who have qualified for GATE are eligible for a monthly stipend of INR 12,400 provided by the AICTE, provided they do not receive any other state scholarship.
TEQIP-III Assistantship: Under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme, the university often provides research assistantships to deserving M.Tech and Ph.D. scholars to support their research work and conference travel.
The application process for state scholarships is managed through the JnanaBhumi or Jagananna Vidya Deevena portal.
Registration: During admission, the college office collects the student's details and initiates the profile on the JnanaBhumi Portal.
Documentation: Students must submit the following to the college scholarship section:
Income Certificate: Latest certificate issued by the MeeSeva/Tehsildar.
Caste Certificate: Integrated community certificate.
Bank Details: Bank passbook of the student and the mother (Aadhaar-linked).

To continue receiving scholarships throughout the four-year course, students must:
Maintain Attendance: A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory in every semester.
Academic Progression: Students must not have excessive backlogs, and they must participate in the semester-wise biometric authentication.
Conduct: Students involved in disciplinary issues or ragging forfeit their right to financial aid.
