K.J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce Application/Admission Process

K. J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce (KJSAC), located in Vidya Vihar, Mumbai, is a distinguished autonomous institution affiliated with the University of Mumbai. Consistently ranked among the top colleges in the city, KJSAC offers merit-based admissions to a variety of undergraduate (B.A., B.Com) and postgraduate (M.A., M.Com) programs. The 2026 admission cycle follows a structured online process, emphasizing academic excellence and linguistic diversity through its Gujarati Minority status.

Admission Process

Admissions at KJSAC are strictly merit-based and follow a mandatory "Dual-Portal" registration system. Candidates must complete both steps to be considered:

  1. University of Mumbai Pre-Enrollment: All applicants must first register on the University of Mumbai’s digital portal (mum.digitaluniversity.ac or muugadmission.samarth.edu.in) to generate a unique registration number. An ABC/APAAR ID is mandatory for this registration.

  2. College Online Application: After receiving the university registration number, students must visit the Somaiya Admission Portal (admissions.somaiya.edu) to fill out the college pre-admission form and pay the application fee.

  3. Merit List Declaration: The college releases sequential merit lists based on HSC/Degree results. Shortlisted candidates receive an "Offer Letter" via their registered email.

  4. Acceptance and Payment: Candidates must log in to the Somaiya portal to accept the offer. Failure to accept or pay the fees within the deadline results in the forfeiture of the seat.

  5. Final Verification: Admission is provisional until the physical verification of original documents is completed at the campus.
