Course Category Course Fee Eligibility Exams Accepted
BCA Computers - To be eligible for a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree, you must have passed your 10+2 (Class 12) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board, typically with a minimum aggregate of 45-50% marks, though some institutions may require 50-60% or even 55% for specialized programs. While most colleges accept candidates from any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science), many institutions prefer or require Mathematics or Computer Science as a core subject at the 10+2 level. The minimum age for admission is generally around 17 years, and some colleges conduct entrance exams or interviews as part of the selection process.
B.Sc Science - To be eligible for a B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) degree, you must typically have completed 12th standard (10+2) with a Science stream (PCM: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or PCB: Physics, Chemistry, Biology) from a recognized board, with a minimum percentage requirement (often 50-60%) in your qualifying exam. Admission is often based on merit, but some universities may also conduct entrance exams like the CUET or specific university-level tests. CUET
M.Sc. Science - To be eligible for an MSc program, you must typically hold a Bachelor's degree (e.g., BSc, BE, BTech) in a relevant science or technical field from a recognized institution, often with a minimum aggregate score of 50-60%, though this can vary by university. Some MSc programs also require passing entrance exams like IIT JAM or CUET-PG, or may require experience in certain fields like Computer Science. CUET, IIT JAM
M.Phil Science - To be eligible for an M.Phil. in Science, you generally need a Master's degree in a relevant science field with at least 55% marks, though this can vary by institution. M.Phil. programs in India have been discontinued by the UGC under 2022 regulations, with most universities focusing on integrated PhD programs instead. If available, you must meet the specific requirements of the university and potentially appear for an entrance exam.
Ph.D Science - To be eligible for a PhD, you typically need a relevant postgraduate degree with a minimum score (often 55%), though some programs may accept a strong 4-year undergraduate degree. You'll likely need to pass a university-specific or national entrance exam like UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or GATE, or have a qualifying score like JRF. Some universities may waive the entrance exam for candidates with certain qualifications or research experience. GATE, UGC NET
Ph.D Arts - To be eligible for a PhD, you typically need a relevant postgraduate degree with a minimum score (often 55%), though some programs may accept a strong 4-year undergraduate degree. You'll likely need to pass a university-specific or national entrance exam like UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or GATE, or have a qualifying score like JRF. Some universities may waive the entrance exam for candidates with certain qualifications or research experience. GATE, UGC NET
M.Phil Arts - To pursue an M.Phil in Arts in India, you generally need a Master's degree in a relevant arts field with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. However, M.Phil programs were discontinued in India under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, so you should verify the current validity and eligibility criteria with the specific institution or university, as university-specific rules and entrance exams can vary.
BA Arts - To be eligible for a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, you typically need to have passed your 10+2 (higher secondary) examination or an equivalent from a recognized board, regardless of your stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science). While a minimum percentage of marks is often required, the specific cut-off varies by institution, with some programs requiring 50% or more. Some specialized BA programs or top-tier universities may also conduct entrance exams. CUET
MA Arts - To be eligible for an MA program, you must have a completed bachelor's degree from a recognized university and typically a minimum aggregate mark (around 50-55%, but this varies by institution). Some specific MA programs might require a degree in a relevant discipline, or relevant work experience, and admission is often determined by university-specific criteria, entrance exams like CUET PG, or a combination of factors.
