L.M. College of Pharmacy (LMCP), established in 1947 and located in Ahmedabad, is one of India’s premier institutions for pharmaceutical education. Affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Admissions are primarily governed by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat, and are based on merit and entrance examination performance.

Admission Process

The admission process at LMCP is centralized and strictly merit-based, conducted through the ACPC online portal.

• B.Pharm & D.Pharm: Admission is based on a merit list prepared using a combination of GUJCET 2026 scores and Class 12 (HSC) Science marks. A small percentage of seats are also filled via NEET 2026 or JEE Main 2026 for All-India candidates.

• M.Pharm: Selection is primarily through GPAT scores. Non-GPAT candidates must appear for the Gujarat PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) conducted by ACPC.

• Pharm.D: Candidates are selected based on their performance in the qualifying examination (10+2 with PCB/PCM) or after completing a D.Pharm.

• Final Steps: Candidates must register on the ACPC portal, participate in choice filling, and secure a seat through the mock and actual allotment rounds. Once a seat is allotted, candidates must pay the token tuition fee online to confirm their admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective students must meet the following academic requirements to be eligible for admission:

• B.Pharm / D.Pharm Eligibility:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Standard XII) in the Science stream from a recognized board (GSEB, CBSE, ICSE, etc.).

  • Compulsory subjects: Physics and Chemistry.

  • Optional subjects: Mathematics or Biology.

  • Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for General category and 40% for reserved categories (SC/ST/SEBC).

  • A valid score in GUJCET 2026 is mandatory for Gujarat state seats.

• M.Pharm Eligibility:

  • A B.Pharm degree from a PCI-approved institution with a minimum of 55% to 60% aggregate marks (5% relaxation for reserved categories).

  • A valid GPAT 2026 or Gujarat PGCET 2026 score.

• Pharm.D Eligibility:

  • Pass in 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology, OR a pass in a D.Pharm course from a PCI-approved institution.

Application Fees

The registration and application fees are payable online during the ACPC registration process.

• ACPC Registration Fee: Approximately INR 350 to INR 500 (Non-refundable).

• B.Pharm Tuition Fees: L.M. College of Pharmacy is a grant-in-aid institution, making it highly affordable. The annual tuition fee is approximately INR 8,400.

• Self-Financed Courses (Pharm.D/M.Pharm): Fees for these programs are higher, ranging from INR 1.5 Lakhs to INR 2.1 Lakhs per year depending on the specialization.
