Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) is a central university located in Motihari, Bihar, India. It was established in 2016 by an Act of Parliament, Central Universities (Amendment) Act 2014. One of India's growing public Central Universities, MGCU was named after the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The university offers a variety of academic programs across 7 schools and 20 academic departments.

Central Library- The Mahatma Gandhi Central University's Atal Bihari Vajpayee Central Library was established in 2016. The library serves users from 7 Schools and 20 Departments and has a comprehensive collection of books, journals, and magazines. With over 26,000 volumes, the library offers research scholars, students, and teaching and non-teaching staff access to scholarly information, study spaces, and research help.

Computer Lab- For students, there is a fully furnished computer lab with Wi-Fi access. Numerous software programs needed for engineering and other fields are installed on the systems. Access to a wealth of scholarly and intellectual resources is made possible by high-speed internet connectivity. Through campus connectivity, all e-books and study materials are available. 

Laboratory- Well-equipped labs are available at the School of Physical and Material Sciences as well as the School of Life Sciences. Modern lab equipment is available in departments including Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, and Biotechnology. Faculty and researchers in these fields are conducting a variety of research projects in these facilities. 

SC/ST Cell- The University has established the SC/ST Cell to implement follow-up measures and address the grievances of SC/ST students. The cell provides a platform for students to register and address their issues, focusing on government initiatives like fellowships and scholarships, as well as providing care and benefits for these students. 

Transportation Facility- Staff and students can use the university's transportation services. The university has four buses that it employs to transport students from their hostels to relevant academic sites and for field trips. The university also arranges for student transportation on their academic tour. At specific times, university buses travel the city, picking up and dropping off students at their designated locations.
