National  Law School of India University - Application /Admission Process

NLSIU Bangalore offers admission to UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in law, including options for national and international students. The university also provides online and hybrid programs through its Professional and Continuing Education (PACE). Admissions are based on entrance exams conducted by the university or national-level exams. NLSIU conducts the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) for 3-Year LLB (Hons), Masters in Public Policy (MPP), PhD (Law), and PhD (Interdisciplinary) programs.

B.A.LLB (H) Admission Process:

  • NLSIU offers a 5-year BALLB (Hons) program with an annual intake of 300 seats.
  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 with at least 45% marks.
  • Admission is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) followed by counseling and seat allotment based on CLAT scores.

LLM Admission Process:

  1. Once the merit list is published, login credentials for the NLSIU Admission Portal are emailed to selected candidates.
  2. Selected candidates must fill out the admission form and upload necessary documents.
  3. Candidates attend an online interview for document verification.
  4. The university will email once the documents are accepted.
  5. Pay the adjusted university fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, NET Banking, DD, or RTGS.

PhD Admission-

NLSIU Bangalore offers PhD programs in Law and Interdisciplinary studies at the doctoral level. The total intake capacity for these programs is 8 seats, with 4 seats each for PhD in Law and PhD in Interdisciplinary studies. Admission to these programs is based on the NLSAT-PhD scores conducted by the university.

  3. Fill in the required information such as applicant’s name, guardian, age, etc.
  4. After filling in the details, upload the required documents.
