NRI Academy of Medical Sciences, commonly known as NRI’s Medical College, is situated in Chinna Kakani, Mangalagiri, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. Established in 2003, it holds the distinction of being the first medical academy in the state initiated by Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
The NRI’s Medical College was founded by a consortium of 32 NRI doctors from the USA, all originating from the Guntur and Krishna districts of Andhra Pradesh, with the primary objective of promoting excellence in medical education and delivering affordable healthcare to society.
NRI’s Medical College is affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). It has been acknowledged for its contributions to medical education, securing notable rankings such as 42nd in Open Management, 54th among NRI/OCI categories, and 8th within the state of Andhra Pradesh.
