Panjab University - Scholarship

Panjab University, Chandigarh, provides a range of scholarships to deserving candidates. The PU scholarship initiative ensures that no student is deprived of the opportunity to join this esteemed university due to financial constraints. The university offers a variety of scholarships to its students on different grounds. Students may also take advantage of PU scholarships funded by the Government of India, the details of which are provided below.

PUAA Scholarship- Every year, the PUAA organizes a scholarship award function to distribute scholarships to meritorious students from PU departments and affiliated colleges. Cash awards, certificates, and mementoes are provided to all the toppers listed by the Scholarship section of Panjab University. Honorary Life Membership of PUAA will be offered to candidates who have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in their final semester.

Scholarship for students with Disabilities – National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) is implementing the scheme of the Scholarship Trust Fund on behalf of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India for students with disabilities. Under this scheme, 2500 scholarships are provided every year to eligible differently-abled students for pursuing a degree and postgraduate level Professional or Technical Courses.

Scholarship for SC/ST candidates- India/State Govt/U.T. Admn. Studies in India. Those candidates belonging to OBCs so specified about the State/Union Territory to which the applicant belongs, i.e. is permanently settled, who have passed the Matriculation or higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognised university or Board of Secondary Education and who belong to a family having income not exceeding Rs. 1 lac per annum are eligible.
