Intended to impart education to both the Odias and non-Odias of Odisha-Andhra, this College started drawing its student strength from a wide zone which included Surala-Sumandi, Ichhapur, Kuligaon-Kotilingi belt, B.Nuagaon, Jayantipur, Jarada, Tumba, Patrapur, Kelua, Surangi, Khariaguda etc. Besides, the students from the detached Odia speaking territories of Manjusha, Tarala, Jalantara etc. found a homely atmosphere in this academic agency.
