Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering Application/Admission Process

Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), established in 1999 in the industrial hub of Pradhikaran, Nigdi, Pune, is one of Maharashtra's premier engineering institutions. An autonomous institute permanently affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and approved by the AICTE, PCCoE has been accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC. The college offers merit-based admissions to its Undergraduate engineering programs (B.Tech), Postgraduate professional courses (M.Tech, MBA, and MCA), and Doctoral research programs (Ph.D). Admissions are primarily managed through the centralized, single-window online portal operated by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.

Admission Process

Admissions at PCCoE are strictly bifurcated into distinct seat allocation percentages adhering to the regulations of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, and the State CET Cell:

  • Maharashtra State (MS) Quota Seats (65% to 80%): Allotted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the State CET Cell based on performance in the MHT-CET examination.

  • All India (AI) Quota Seats (15% to 20%): Allocated concurrently through the CAP rounds based on scores obtained in the JEE Main or MHT-CET examinations (with preference given to JEE Main).

  • Institutional / Management Quota Seats (Up to 20%): Filled directly at the institutional level based on inter-se merit following an independent application window advertised by the college.

Step-by-Step CAP Counseling Lifecycle

  1. Online Registration & Document Verification: Candidates register on the official MAH CET portal (cetcell.mahacet.org) and upload academic, residency, and category documents for digital or physical verification at designated Scrutiny Centers (FC/SC).

  2. Display of Merit Lists: The CET Cell publishes provisional and final state merit lists based on percentile metrics.

  3. Option Entry (Choice Filling): Candidates submit their preferred college codes and branch combinations. PCCoE's institutional choice codes must be selected in order of preference.

  4. Seat Allotment & Reporting: Once a seat is allocated, the candidate must download their CAP allotment letter, freeze or float their seat option, pay the seat acceptance fee online, and physically report to the PCCoE campus in Nigdi, Pune. Final verification of original documents and institutional fee clearance are mandatory to secure enrollment.
